I just got the device today trying to register it with Autel but no luck, When logged in and tried on line it says already register but device says not registered, Can't log in to Autel website via device keep getting "network error", this is day one i hope things will only get better from here on now. -

Hi, please offer the serial number of your tool. As to the "network error" issue, it is fixed. Please try again. -

Hi, thanks for the S/N. Its free update service expired on 2015-07-09 already, which means download access is closed. Please purchase another yesr update service to re-gain the download access and load software.

okay fine free updates have expired but I still should be be able to use the device right? or I can't use the device? -

Yes, you still can use those software which have been downloaded to your tool. -

but there is no software installed on device it's blank under car maker tabs, so maybe it never had software installed on it? -

Yes, it could be one of the reasons. Or maybe there were software under car maker tabs, but they were mis-deleted? -

so if the they were mis-deleted can we bring them back?. What is my best option should I return the device? -

If you ever backup software, you can copy that to sd card; otherwise, please buy the update to have access to download all software.
